2. Pick the right weight
The most common mistake is ordering too small. As a simple rule, 1 kg of cake serves about 8–10 people. Here’s a quick guide:

For mixed groups, a classic like black forest or pineapple is a safe bet; chocolate lovers should go straight to chocolate cakes. - Designer, fondant and tiered cakes: these are hand-decorated, so order a few hours (or a day) ahead.

5. Add a message and the finishing touches
Every cake comes with a free message on cake (up to 30 characters). You can also add candles, party poppers, a birthday cape and flowers from the “Make it special” section, right above the Buy Now button – so everything arrives together.

- Full address with a landmark, tower or gate number.
- A phone number of the person receiving the cake – especially for surprises.
- The correct delivery date and time slot.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Ordering a designer cake at the last minute. Fondant figures, tiers and 3D shapes are hand-made and need time. If the celebration is today, pick a fresh cream design – it can be ready in 2–3 hours.
- Forgetting the receiver’s number. For surprises, give us the number of someone who is in on the plan, not the birthday person.
- Leaving out the tower or gate. Large societies in Noida, Gurgaon and Greater Noida can have 20+ towers – the tower and flat number saves precious minutes.
- Choosing a heavy flavour for elders. Grandparents usually prefer pineapple, butterscotch or fruit over dense chocolate.
- Not checking the date. For a midnight surprise, the delivery date is the evening before the birthday.
Fresh Cream vs Fondant: Which Should You Pick?
Fresh cream cakes are lighter, less sweet and quicker to prepare – ideal for most birthdays at home. Fondant gives a smooth, sculpted finish for theme cakes, cartoon characters and wedding tiers, but it is sweeter and needs more time.
